Driving (A Poem)

Driving by Nancy McLeod

Driving on the highway
Driving too fast
Too many pressures
Faster and Faster

Traffic stops dead
There’s a squeal
Of brakes
The car becomes airborne

Then it’s over
All the pain
All the suffering

Yes the pain
Is gone but
Now it’s transferred
To the Ones
Left behind

How will they deal
With their loss?
Their Pain?
Will they do the same?

Will they loose it all
On the highway
Driving....

You and Me (a poem)

You and Me
by Nancy McLeod

We’ve been chatting for what seems
like forever
I feel like we have known each
other forever
my sweet man

I feel I can tell you my inner
most secrets
Things I wouldn’t share with
just anyone

I feel I can trust you and
that is such a big thing
This coming from a
woman who lost all
Trust in mankind

Now I’m at a point with
you that I feel you will
accept me for what I am

This relationship will be
built on trust, love and
friendship

I pray with all my heart
we will have a long and
loving relationship

You have given me something
I thought I would never find
A man who truly loves
me for me and will love
me regardless

Lets travel through time
together
Lets have a life journey of love
and laughter

Just the two of us
You and Me

Passion (a poem)

Passion by Nancy McLeod

Passion is in their kiss
Passion is in his eyes
Passion is in her eyes
Passion is when their eyes hold
Passion is when he touches her
Passion is when she touches him
Passion is when they see each other for the first time
Passion is when they consume each others every thought
Passion is wanting to be with him and only him
Passion is wanting to be with her and only her
Passion is the love he feels for her and only her
Passion is the love she feels for him and only him
Passion is in their kiss...

Update on My dogs

Well unfortunately we couldn't keep Ben and Summer. We gave them away to a family who had always wanted a Pug dog but couldn't afford to buy one.

There were a number of dog fights between Summer and one of our other dogs. It just depended on who she didn't like at the moment.

Summer became pregnant by Ben two weeks after we brought them home. She delivered 4 puppies on April 16. One was born stillborn.

Even though I had taken Ben and Summer to the vet, the vet found that Summer was infested with bugs. This was when we took the puppies for their six week check up. Summer had developed a sore on her ear. She thinks she had them before she came to us. We had Summer five months before she discovered this. The bugs were passed onto the puppies.

We decided to keep the puppies. At the moment the puppies are getting along with the adult dogs. We first introduced the puppies to one of the adult dogs. Making sure we had control of the adult dog and bringing them in one at a time, in case there was a problem. The adult dogs looked terrified of the puppies. We had brought them into the kitchen. A week later I decided it would be better to introduce them in the backyard. That way it was the puppies going into the adult dogs territory. It was much better, there was so much more room for the adult dogs to get away from the puppies. The puppies really enjoy roaming around the backyard. There is so much to explore!
